Intro

What is the Purpose of Friday?

The #Humanism bots are there to hold the channel, maintain bans and stay out of the way as much as possible.

Why the name "Friday?"

Friday owes her name to a Robert A Heinlein heroin. Our channel seems to attract heathens with a basic interest in reason and ethics. That is something close to the point of Humanism after all. Readers of RAH's science-fiction novels will find similar themes. So it should be no surprise that many of the regulars - with some notable exceptions - are also Heinlein fans. We chose Heinlein's android "Friday," from the novel of the same name, because she was a most human bot, trying to work her way toward fullfilment in a particularly nutty world. It just seemed appropriate.

Friday is Still Under Development

We are working to make Friday better all the time. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let Lazarus or RevDigger know.

Geniuses and supergeniuses always make their own rules on sex as on everything else; they do not accept the monkey customs of their lessers.

Features & Commands

Knowing too much is a capital offence. In politics it always has been. ... Throughout history the conventional way of dealing with an awkward witness has been to arrange for him to stop breathing.

Future Plans For Friday

Humans make too big of a trip out of sex. It's nothing important. Just the best thing. Even better than food.
